Honestly I can't see anyone who had investments in the S&P 500 siding with them. They irritated me to no end by slightly affecting the value of my stocks/bonds/mutual funds.
The only people I feel could sympathize them would be those with negative net worth, college graduates working at starbucks, and people on EBT who have 0 investments.

Any intelligent person who understands Economics would know that they had valid arguments. Occupy didn't fail because they didn't have legit complaints.

they failed because eventually you have to take a shower in something other than a public sink.

That hardly addresses the question.

I wouldn't say they failed at raising public awareness. YOU know who they are and what their issues were about.

I wouldn't say that they failed because it aint over yet.

They didn't. The media tried its best slight of hand to strategically use the concept of the, '99%' against the '1%'. They worked their magic to get obama elected and still clean up after him.

The liberal view is people are stupid and emtional agruments work best with the ignorant and confused. Keep it simple, avoid argument with strings of logic and facts supported by perspective. Their position just needs to be 'salted' with random sound bytes.

Like a grackle fluffing its feathers to look larger than it is to an opponent, the media took in the wall st pros and did their best to mainstream their cause. The violence soon put an end to the protests as democratic supporters ran for the hills when the mnedia could no longer hide the violence. Then they tried to transfer the accusations, somewhat successfully to the 'T-party'. Though the vast majority of people who embraced the T-party concept have no affiliation with a formal t-party. The 99% would have been more appropriately bestowed upon the folks that held on to the smaller, more efficient government with less interference in all aspects of life.

Occupy was unorganized and unfocused, but there was truth in their core message: That Wall Street was playing by a different set of rules than the rest of America, and it was to the country's detriment. Most people, both liberal and conservative, agreed with that.

that was their core message? I thought it was about drum circles, not wearing shoes, trespassing, and smoking dope.

I am unfamiliar with those terms. there is a news station run by foxes? and what does rush have to do with anything? tom sawyer is a pretty good song, and neal peart is a good drummer, but I am failing to make a connection. plus they're canadian.
