Steady progress being made on closing that blemish on America.

"Steady"? Not even close to what our liar in chief said he would do.

In June 2007, presidential candidate Barack Obama promised, "We're going to close Guantanamo."

In 2009, President Obama signed an executive order requiring the camp to to be closed by January 22, 2010.

He would have accomplished it easily had it not been for certain politicians that exercised a complete lack of faith in the US Justice System.

Ah yes, another fair and balanced view of how Obama has once again triumphed by our self described "moderate" OP.

Bush 3.0 by any other name.

If Jeb wins I'm going to refer to him as Bush 4.0

Great!

Keep in mind that these very same terrorists who will be released seem to have an appetite for blowing up parts of large cities in the northeastern US, the home of liberalism.

You reap what you sow.

If they're terrorists, convict them.

Until then, they're just detainees.

Interesting.

By definition they are terrorists. Nearly all were captured as non uniformed combatants in the middle east.

Make no mistake of it, every one of those "detainees" at Gitmo would kill you (and essentially every American they could find) in a second if they had the chance.

The only way Gitmo should be emptied is via mass execution of the inmates. Releasing known terrorists to perform further acts of terrorism is insane.

The world is a dangerous place full of many people who would love nothing better than to destroy America and every American. Unfortunately, reality is in stark contradiction to the fantasy world of liberals, in which everyone is peaceful and friendly. To embrace the fantasy world of liberalism is a dangerous, childish rejection of reality which could get the rest of us (who know better) killed/injured.

You do know some of the GITMO detainees have been found to just be people in the wrong place at the wrong time right?

Sorry, but if we want to try them, convict them, and execute them or imprison them...then we should have a court hearing for these folks. And call it good. But of course when its suggested that we do so, amny on the right freak out. WTH folks?
