Bitcoin investor who renounced US citizenship now can

Bitcoin investor (and convicted felon) Roger Ver decided to purchase a St. Kitts passport and renounce his US citizenship, because taxes. So far, so good - his prerogative. But now he's surprised to learn that the US may or may not decide to let in non-citizens, and that apparently wasn't part of the plan.

Ah well. You live and learn. And as Mr. Ver has made it clear in the past he wanted nothing to do with the US Government, it looks like he'll get his way.

LOL. Good. Personally I think we need a law that clarifies that if you give up your citizenship or passport you are barred from re-entry.

Put on a sombrero and poncho and moonwalk over the southern border while claiming to be 14 years old. Problem solved.

To funny, gotta love with things like this backfire in their faces. It is easy to say one wants to renounce their citizenship, but much harder to deal with the reality of it.

Just like all those loony lefties that claimed they were going to move to Canada or wherever if GWB got re-elected. None of them lived up to their claimed intentions. At least this guy followed through, which is a concept that is lost on so many these days.

I remember Rush Limbaugh saying he was going to move to Costa Rica if Obamacare passed, I guess he had a change of heart.

Once he gets over the intended immigrant part, he has that pesky conviction hanging over his head that could preclude his ever getting a visa.

Poor baby. What a douche.
