And is that supposed to be a joke? Because I don't see how it makes any sense at all if it's not.
Why does it not make sense? Murder is killing with malicious premeditation the executioner aspect of my comment was more of a joke but I assure you my point is not. You claim the State commits murder yet there is no malicious intent from the State... the State has no heart, knows no emotion... it is supposed to be that way to deliver unbiased Justice...
I disagree. You can drag out plenty of definitions of murder--at least one of them will fit capital punishment.
I can disagree that gravity holds me to Earth, but that doesn't mean I can fly. Capital punishment, punishment for a crime, is, by definition, not murder, any more than shooting someone that has broken into my house is murder.

I'm not conceding anything, and I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm likely to get too emotional.
And therein lies the problem with liberalism...emotion is valued and promoted over reason and logic.
Because for a system that believes innocent until proven guilty, to execute an innocent man (and we're seeing more and more of this from back in the days when DNA didn't exist and people were persecuted anyway) is the biggest atrocity.
Did you even READ my post??? I specifically mentioned cases of appeals where guilt isn't the issue being argued. (IE. They're CONCEDING that the guy is guilty).
Here are two of the latest examples of why we NEED the death penalty:
37-year-old Lam Luong reportedly told authorities he had thrown all four children into the water from the Dauphin Island Bridge. The chidren were identified as 3-year-old Ryan Phan, 2-year-old Hannah Luong, 1-year-old Lindrey Luong, and 4-month-old Danny Luong.
A young hiker whose body was found in northern Georgia was probably alive for three days before she died from blunt force trauma to the head, an autopsy found, and the man charged with kidnapping her faces a murder charge when he returns today to court.
Meredith Emerson, 24, was decapitated after her death, the autopsy also found.

Some critics of lethal injections claim that it is a form of cruel punishment. GIVE ME A BREAK! Many of those destined for this sentence are those who have maybe RAPED/ABUSED and KILLED innocent people that will not have a voice whether or not they suffered any cruel punishment at the time of their demise. It about time that these bleeding hearts realize that the term " AN EYE FOR AN EYE" should be implemented. Stefhen (Baja Mexico)
The problem with me is not that lethal injection is inhumane, it's that it isn't utilized enough. Gang members for instance should all be rounded up and instantly charged with the worst crime that any of them have committed. They all are a part of a conspiracy to commit domestic terror, which includes homicide, assault, battery, burglary, false imprisonment, larceny, and so forth. Most likely, they all will be charged and convicted of homicide because at least one of them has done this. Then each should be escorted into the next room, and immediately injected. End of story. No appeals, no pleadings, no fanfare or media attention. Subsequent gang members are treated likewise. Time to go medieval on them because they have gotten out of control.
I have absolutely no feeling or regard for the criminals...the rapists, child molesters, murderers, and the like. I do feel compassion for the victims' loved ones. I agree that the victim's families should be allowed the RIGHT to determine the criminal's fate.
Lastly, why sterilize the needle? Isn't that ridiculous? Cheapest way is the guillotine.
I hope Alabama doesnt change their mind about the death penalty, look at this man what he did, he threw all 4 of his children off an 80 ft high bridge into the Gulf!!! the oldest one seems to have only been about 2 years old...I think he deserves something much worse than an injection...why do people have children and then do this to them, it makes me so mad
