Doesn't really matter. Sites outside of the US took notice that the US had no presence there.
Left that wide open to much speculation.

No.

I was reading the coverage on this event from the BBC and they didn't even mention that the US didn't show up. Yawn.

Paris anti-terrorism rally draws millions - CNN.com
Several people in the crowd and on social media wondered why U.S. President Barack Obama was not there; he was at the White House on Sunday.

CNN has asked for an explanation from the State Department and White House of his absence. There has been no response so far.

Doesn't matter. As I said, if he would've shown up, the cons would have had their special hissy fit over that.

Oh, I'm not saying that his absence wasn't noticed by some Europeans. I'm just saying his absence apparently wasn't newsworthy to them.

Obama has made the USA irrelevant, and he has no credibility among the rest of the world's leaders.

Eric Holder, U.S. officials no-shows at Paris unity rally - NY Daily News

"" The U.S. attorney general, in Paris for a terrorism summit with French President Francois Hollande, did not join world leaders such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for the march and rally that drew a million people days after 12 were shot at satirical paper Charlie Hebdo. Others such as Obama and Vice President Biden were also not in attendance. ""

WHo really cares. Not a holder fan, but whats the point of showing up at this rally other than a photo OP. I'd rather them put resources towards stopping the terrorist instead. They can keep the party

Would have thought the US Ambassador to France would have been there and would be sufficient to represent the US. If need be higher, then Sec of State.

Presidents and Vice Presidents are reserved for summits and state funerals.

So I have no problem with AG Holder, VP Biden, or Pres Obama not being there and would be happy with the lower level officials.

But if there was no one there from the US, then I would hope it was by design
