I'd chose the 1946-1964 option. I wouldn't fear death because I knew I lived heaven every remaining day.

Those years ('46-64) are some of the worst years i could ever imagine living in. I wouldn't go anywhere near them....at least not in the United States.

Even if you made me a millionaire i wouldn't go through it.

Oh, so you're either on welfare or a masochist. Gotcha.

No. I'm black. The past is an anathema to me. I look forward, not backwards. History isn't my friend, and as paraphrased by a great modern day (white) comedian, black folks don't have the luxury of playing with time machines that go backwards.

Maybe you wanna go back because you're a failure in contemporary times. Got news for you...you'd probably fare no better in the past either.

Interesting since more african americans are murdered nowadays per capita than they were back then. That progress is really swell.
I also find it funny you hate that period more than slavery.

My wife is Japanese. No thanks.

In Georgia, you know what would've happened.

Interracial marriage in the United States has been fully legal in all U.S. states since the 1967 Supreme Court decision that deemed anti-miscegenation laws unconstitutional, with many states choosing to legalize interracial marriage at earlier dates.

Loving v. Virginia, 388 U.S. 1 (1967),[1] was a landmark civil rights decision of the United States Supreme Court which invalidated laws prohibiting interracial marriage.
The case was brought by Mildred Loving, a black woman, and Richard Loving, a white man, who had been sentenced to a year in prison in Virginia for marrying each other.

Some people are OK with this. .... ...still. Some would even say those days were.... heaven.

I lived in that time and let me just say it was an unforgettable experience. You knew your neighbors; you didn't just see them as irritants or potential lawsuits. Getting a job was as easy as going down to the nearest store and getting to know the store owner. Life was simpler and yet more meaningful.

I would take that option too, this country is going down the crapper, attitudes, sense of entitlement, decline in quality of life more so in the major cities. Even the 1980s was a far better period of time than today.

Continue forward. This American of white European ancestry is ashamed of the Jim Crow era. Ashamed of an era when an educated female's highest possible position was secretary, who had better do whatever (inappropriate) the boss wanted.
