The haven't read about the medieval climate optimum.
What about it? Globally, it's warmer now than then. Despite the fact that the sun has been quieter for the past 35 years or so, and TSI has been lower.
So why don't you tell us about the so called "medieval warm period" and what caused it?

Very hard to determine if the MWP was slightly warmer or cooler than today. First off, we would be comparing proxy data to satellite/thermometer readings. Second, the difference would be just a couple tenths of a degree either way from today. Also, the MWP lasted for 300 years. Current warming started at the end of the Little Ice Age around 1850.
As for the causes, low volcanic activity, and more solar activity is said to be responsible for the MWP. Looks as if sun spot activity was less between 950-1250 when compared with this past century
Small volcanic eruptions over the past 20 years have been protecting the Earth from global warming, according to a new study.
Scientists have confirmed that droplets of sulphur-rich aerosols spewed into the upper atmosphere by volcanoes have been reflecting sunlight away from the Earth.
Until recently it was thought that only particularly large eruptions had any noticeable affect on the climate.
no man is not '''driving'' it...the effect man has is 10% or less...and that is where the '''man-made'' LIE comes from
in order for it to be man-made/man-caused, mans play would HAVE TO BE a major majority...a 10% effect is not
Since the Earth would be about 0 degrees without a greenhouse effect, a 10% change would be pretty bad.
