Seriously.....889 million dollars? And its not even 2016 yet. This next election is going to show just how much money can effect an election. And the answer may be shocking.
Because I think money can only effect a vote by about 5%. Yes that matters in some elections, but money only goes so far. At a certain point you have to be able to convince people of your platform.
Gods...I'd hate to live in a swing state. The advertisements are going to be non-stop.
Conservatives wanted no monetary limits for political campaigns and have stymied nearly every attempt at campaign finance reform well you have your wish. Billions will be flowing into the upcoming election cycle. Call me naive but after the elections these billionaires will want to be repaid or their efforts. Who will get screwed in the end? The middle class.
One day all this money and all the corruption that this money will generate will come to a head and all the nation will learn what these "conservatives" and their policies have wrought on this nation.
The estimates for the next election seem to indicate 2-3X as much spending. If you live in a swing state....I feel so bad for you. Seriously.
That's why god created DVRs, remotes and mute buttons.
Maybe they'll just give people money and buy votes rather than throw money at swaying the brain dead. And why not a billion? Cheapskates.
