MLK day was created by Ronald Regan in 1983 and is our newest big holiday. I noticed that more and more people have the day off. I just saw a headline that this year the number is at an all time high (37 percent). King was a great uniter who dreamed of judging people for who they are and not what they look like.
On Easter we have bunnies, on Labor Day we have sales, on Independence Day we have barbecues and fireworks. We need something for MLK Day. Personally, I think we need a day that features lasagna. We could also start a tradition of giving a gift to someone of a different background, or belief system. Or we could just have more sales... But I say no to that. So what should we do for the Doctor's day?
on MLK day, most of us go to Church and/school, watch a program on the Civil Rights movement and then participate in a symbolic march

Columbus Day would be perfect for that. He was Italian.

Fly the flag. Like I'm doing today. It's an American thing.
The left praises Clinton for signing the Welfare Reform bill. After 3 tries he signed it kicking and screaming.
He signed it, he gets the credit.
Reagan signed the bill. He gets the credit.
You can't have it both ways.
False equivalency.
Reagan was against the idea of giving king a holiday, Bill Clinton was NOT against welfare reform, he actually campaigned on it in 1992. He was however against the initial version of the bill for multiple reasons including the exclusion of his healthcare reform bill.
Im not sure if you were lying here just to try to attack Democrats or if you were just ignorant of history, either way, you need to do more research before trying to take things at face value.
