This isn't about liking or disliking somebody. This is about a religion (which happens to be a barbaric one) taking control over the entire university campus at a predominately Christian society and originally Christian based private university screaming out loud shoveling their cult in everybody's throat in a foreign language, "ALLAHU AKBAR, ASKADU ANA MUHAMMADAN". When will you stop the political correctness? Don't you read what is happening worldwide? Have you read the Quran? Forgot 9/11 already??? Seriously those jihadits did that in the name of Allah and Muhammad because they were promised 72 virgins if they kill in the name of the pedophile!
Try doing any non-Muslim (infidel, a.k.a kuffar) prayers at a mosque, Islamic school or in Saudi Arabia... good luck keeping your head attached to your body!

Guess what, I don't like Islam either.
No one took control over an entire university campus. People speak in foreign languages on college campuses ALL the time. Duke isn't a Christian church. It's a college campus, that celebrates its own diversity. And it was planning on permitting some of its students to practice their religion in a very non-threatening way once a week in a call to prayer that lasts less than two minutes.
Duke University, founded originally by a Christian church previously said they will allow Islamic call to prayer from a church tower out loud in public saying "there is no God but Allah, Muhammad is his messenger" in Arabic which is common in Muslim countries. Since it angered many people, and that this college would favor Islam over all other religions and none; they reversed their decision. No more Islamic call to prayer!

If you give them that, they will demand more and more. Soon they will demand banning pork, alcohol, and music because it is considered "Haram" in Islam (Forbidden). Then other religions would want the same for them.

I'm not promoting Islam at all.
I'm promoting tolerance. A fundamental component of a free society.
It's completely bizarre the people defending religious freedom for Islam are the same ones complaining Christianity is shoved down their throats.
Just for clarity as I did pose an inquiry suggesting a 'call to prayer' and a 'church bell' might be of the same intent, the inquiry was intended only as a 'devil's advocate'.
I have no qualms whatever regarding what a private university (or public for that matter) does with its religious affiliations. However, under no condition whatever do I regard Islam as a religious practice outside of a 'devotion to a societal law' guised as a religion. We'd all be in big trouble if Christians and Jews were hashed about according to their religious laws circa 650AD.
I would support a Constitutional amendment that would prohibit any religion or law that seeks to deny a citizen's rights and privileges of a pursuit of life, liberty, happy ness (sic) and/or protections as afforded by the U.S. Constitution as amended. Excepting perhaps the 17th Amendment.
You don't need to mute something to ignore it. It's one time a week, for what, two minutes?

It doesn't surprise me that you don't see the difference between door-knockers, and a mass religious, broadcasted recording, that can't be turned off.
