Cruz's victory should have told establishment Republicans that maybe their control of things is slipping. Dewhurst spent over 4 times as much money as Cruz and had all that support from the establishment people and het he lost by huge numbers. The Tea Party had supported Cruz all the way and although they didn't run his campaign he won so handily. How many Texans who weren't members of the Tea Party voted for Cruz? How many people did it just to prove to the establishment that they no longer control the GOP, or at least they won't much longer?
Here is a chance for everybody to hear what seems to me to be the best thing from Glenn Beck about what is happening. The Tea Party is a grassroots organization and has been backing so many people who have won in the last 2 or 3 years. Maybe some Beck haters could learn something by reading and watching this one, but I am pretty sure that few will take a try at it.
First of all Dewhurst spent his time running a negative campaign which just riles up people.
Then he said he doesn't support amnesty when in fact he did and even removed a pro-amnesty speech from his website.
Texans don't forget. Did the same thing to Kay "Bailout" Hutchinson when she came here thinking she could just take over the Governorship and downplayed her vote in TARP and slaming Perry for saying no to those optional stimulus packages that had strings attached.
Dewhurst is a BAU politician and ran his campaign the way they are doing it in DC today.
He wrote his own losing ticket.
That there is the difference between many conservatives and many on the left. Most of us Conservatives have had it with business as usual and the establishment. That is why the Tea Party has done fairly well. Liberals, on the other hand, might complain from time to time about business as usual but thats how they want it, I believe. Even liberals would rather have the usual establishment on the GOP side, then those that dare try to reign in the system of government and restore order.
I hope all incumbents are voted out this year. Congress, whether Dem or GOP, haven't accomplished a damn thing. I say, "out with the old, in with the new."

The Progressives can bribe and payoff the Progressive GOP establishment.
They cannot do that with Constitutional Conservatives.
It happened like that for all candidates Ron Paul supported.
Ted Cruz, is the future of the Party. The Party has been a changing.
Constitutionalist, use the Constitution in their favor and despise those using it as toilet paper.
