Fox News continues to impress.
Let's see...

NBC - apologized and fired the guy
CBS - apologized, fired people and forced others to resign. Ended the career of Dan Rather, who'd been the anchor since 1981.

It's rather sad that you're apparently unaware that at other networks, consequences for lying are the norm rather than the exception as is the case at Fox.

Finally there's a group watching news outlets for misinformation......if only they used the same measure with msnbc, nbc, cbs, abc, the ny times, time magazine, rolling stone, the washington post, etc, etc, etc.......

I will not defend fox news for the misinformation.

I'd just like to say Steven Emerson is a well regarded person on Islamic terrorism. I have read a couple of his books going back more than 10 years. I think it's a mistake to throw him overboard for one mistake.

What an event! a news media apologizing! When has that ever happened?

FOX leads the way. Too bad the other media formats and shows aren't as forthcoming.

The joy political opponents find in bashing FOX ends when it comes to misleading and inflamatory words from the Dems and the Obama administration. No apologies from the media controlled left wing and not a problem.

The left wing outrage for CBS and editing 911 tapes to push racism and the perpetuation of lies that fomented alsharpton cited riots while obama and holder stood by with a wink and a nod...not a problem.

A media opponent goofs and apologizes and they are the devil.

The new US flag, now owned by the confused and bewildered, should display stripes and stars scrambled

in random patterns or better yet a white background with all the stars and stripes jumbled in a pile on the left to represent the collapse of this country, compliments of the media and the obama administration.

FOX News has already been instructed not to show Ted Cruz in any polling.

Default FOX News Apology Marathon

I wondered where all the talk about the no-go zones in Europe etc strange 'news' came from, which people were talking about here, and now we know. FOX invented it. They had no choice but to apologize again and again for spreading false information about various claims they had made recently.

Fox News apologizes 4 times for inaccurate comments about Muslims in Europe - Jan. 18, 2015

The tabloid channel of News, NY Post and Fox News same owner and the only reason to read or watch is the sports coverage. The rest is not worth reading or watching.

They put a heavy spin on things, just like MSNBC. Unfortunately many still believe everything they say.

And also like CNN. Television news is first and foremost about ratings. It is an entertainment venue with programing to match.

Fox screwed up here and should be ashamed. Of course they do not do it all the time, or the specific examples would be noted here in this forum as frequently as they happen, just as this one has been.

Truth be told, there are not very many instances of this at all by Fox News, especially when compared to CNN and MSNBC. Not saying that makes it OK, because it doesn't. But let's try to maintain a little perspective here.
