It'll get them to realize there's no free ride, even though up to this point, they've willfully let others bear their burden while having no responsibility or accountability themselves. What they get for free costs others the fruits of their labor. It's way past time to have it cost them, as well.

It sounds like your main goal is to punish people who you resent.

If you would like to ask me my viewpoints on a flat tax, your questions are very welcome.

I will not respond to your comment if you are going to assume something about me!

The obsession that some people have here with the amount of taxes that people making peanuts pay is pathetic.

Ya know, jumping down someones throat and calling them names is just not a way to debate something.
Wow
People will listen to your viewpoints when you are nice.
Sometimes I wonder if that is how some people think, to be a bully to get their point across, then they will be listened to
Dont know

So please explain how it is compassion to bear child after child after child one has insufficient means to support.

The epitome of selfishness and irresponsibility, no?

Then you see some families that have 1 or 2 children, cause they know their financial limits.
It is sad, cause the baby makers for more handouts are effecting good married people who want to have more than 1 or 2 children, but cannot, because their taxes are a [significant burden]
I hope you don't mind that I editorialized your post. You've hit EXACTLY on the problem. I've pointed out time and again that it's NOT sustainable. Not one liberal has explained where all the additional resources will come from to support an increasingly exponentially growing poverty-stricken welfare-dependent class.

No, I do not mind.

I have always thought if the parent who takes off, or is not present, is REALLY held responsible to financially support their child or children, than that would take some burden off the tax payers, and hopefully make people think twice before going out willy nilly having sex.

I know that no one can force someone to work, but there has got to be some way to make those responsible ina different manor.

Obama wants more money? Hey 1%ers... Just fire a couple of employees and take that money to the government instead.
