What would you guess is the percentage of honor students who graduate summa *** laude were just really lucky at guessing the answers on exams?
Very, very low.

No, I did not.
Based on these questions, you obviously haven't read what I wrote either.
Vision and action is more appropriate. But damn, Obama sure made that HOPE thing sound good. I'm surprised he didn't have a video of him parting the sea's. Maybe we should have all HOPED we had luck and waited for Obama to legislate our prosperity.
Jesus Christ, what does Obama have to do with this?
Then why have welfare, charity, college, job training, or any of it? You are born into the caste you will live your entire life, that's it, that's all, right?
Now, I realize the whole income mobility thing totally debunks your argument, but assuming what you say is true, why have any law, program, or anything of the sort meant to help people. They are where they are born, they shall never move, and tough beans.
I didn't say that you can't outperform and subsequently, transcend the class of your birth.
However, most people in this world don't do that. Given the parameters which are very wide in respect to what's considered middle class, most middle-class kids end up as middle-class adults. You can't refute that.
In my own case, I've actually underperformed given my parent's success.
Really? A family business that hires family? Shocked I am, shocked.
BTW, what positions do they hold?
You're acting all coy now after just stating people rarely get jobs through connections.
Son is Managing Partner, Daughter is in HR and SIL has bounced around different positions.
