For those who are in the middle class, or even in the upper middle class, how did you come to your economic status?

Edit
We'll go with the median income of $51k. So $51k to $250k, or what would be the equivalent if your funding comes through your parents or a form of trust fund.

The poll is for those in the middle or upper middle class who live that lifestyle and not "visit" their parents lifestyle.

OP does not define middle class, but I assume it is anyone earning less than $500 000 annually.

What salary do you consider middle class?

I chose:

Trust fund + My parents purchased me a home and continue to fund me through giving me money or a job that I would not have earned on my own.

But I have to work hard, otherwise, they could fire me.

As a matter of fact, I am working right now. I have no weekend off. This is why I can post.

I do freelance artwork, but it is my passion.

Assuming the definition of the upper class is the following,

Household income for these workers is often above $100,000.

I think we need some sort of delineation, agreed.

Wealth and income are two very different things.
