I was responding to Mason3000 who gave a bizarre story about a conversation with his doctor. I don't know what on earth you're talking about, being reported.
If you do not HAVE a doctor, you will not have to put up with BS about getting this vax and that vax.
Re:the bold-what ChrisFromChicago said. This is not an issue of "is red prettier than blue?" It's not a matter of debate, or belief. It's science!
Re-the rest of this post: It's not a total crapshoot to predict which flus will be in circulation. Yes, there've been some surprises, like H1N1 in 2009, and the mutation that happened this year after the vaccine went into production. But we benefit from the fact that flu that is dominant in the southern hemisphere in their winter (our summer) is usually dominant here in our winter. The process is not one of mere guessing. The only way to build up your immune system for the flu virus is to get a flu vaccination or get the flu itself, which can at a minimum, put you out of circulation for a week or so,and can cause many complications and even death.
Some surprises? It seems every year there is a pandemic because of the projections from the flu shot being off.
I haven't had it in years because one I was allergic to the flu shot due to eggs in the mix (this was back in the 1990's) and at this point I am not at risk of the flu due to age and no autoimmune syndromes.

H1N1 seemed to pop up out of the blue in 2009.
Everyone is at risk, some at higher risk than others.
The only people who need to get flu shots are kids and older people with weak immune systems. Normal healthy adults bodies normally fight the flu. Plus if everybody gets it then I don't need to. No reason. No ones contagious
Actually, the podcast does include the above. its not true/possible btw. The Flu Vaccine contains dead virus. There may be some initial (first 24hours) symptoms. . as the body starts an immune response. . but that is about it.
It is impossible to get the Flu from the flu shot. This exact point is covered in detail in the podcast.
I get real sick from flu because of past illness. But I've only gotten the shot twice. The first time I got really sick as if I'd gotten the flu. I thought it was a fluke and tried it again. Same thing happened.
Those initial first 24 symptoms for me were not worth it. I stay away from people when flu is going around. I'm sure there are others who have the same consideration.
It's KILLED virus, which stimulates your immune system to produce antibodies, w/o making you sick.
Don't lecture me on how vaccines work. I have an autoimmune disease. I've well aware of how it works.
And I'll repeat, while my immune system is working to produce antibodies, it's not protecting me from other things.
I don't do anything that screws with my immune system. And I must be doing something right. Did you see the part about me not ever getting the flu?
