Richest 1% will own more than all the rest by 2016 | Oxfam International

3.5 billion people are struggling to survive while 80 people have more wealth than anyone on this board could possibly imagine.

Of course, this is obviously just an excuse for lazy, selfish liberals to steal money from the poor innocent billionaires, who obviously deserve what they've earned through hard work and sacrifice.

I think we should give the billionaires more tax cuts.

And the GOP is already pushing back on the modest tax increase proposal the president will lay out tonight on the richest of the rich, which would pay for tax relief for the middle class. Boehner calls it "tax and spend liberalism" even though it is actually a tax cut for the middle class. Which is something that doesn't interest Republicans in the least, aside, of course, from giving lip service to helping the middle class purely for sound bite purposes during election years.

Feel free to donate half your income to the worlds poor. You'll still be in the top 1% of the worlds population after that.

Why stop at me? Why don't we just tax everyone in the middle class?

I mean, they're the ones who seem to care the most about income inequality so logically they should be the ones to give up their money.

You sound like an ideal GOP candidate.

Half the poor's money would need to be taken as well, they are still part of the worlds 1%.

We should probably end all the social programs here in the USA because we are just giving tax breaks and services to the worlds 1% and send all that money to other countries instead.

I guess you missed the part about 80 people having more wealth than the bottom 3.5 billion?

I really don't think it's fair to group people making $34k/year and people who can barely afford the cost of living in with multi-billionaires... and what's more is I'm pretty sure that you know this.
