See, the cake in question was to have the lovely text "God hates homosexuality." RebelCreator, you're not supposed to admit that "pro-marriage" actually is about hate. Say it's about maintaining the dignity of the institution. Say it's about tradition.
The fact that it's actually about hate? That's not to be divulged.
I do have to respect the honesty though - as repugnant as it is. Finally one of these haters admits their truth.
I would have baked the cake, written as he requested. I would have put an X through the word 'hate' and written the word love over it.
When he came for his cake, and every time he returned for the cake, I would make profuse apologies, because I do not know how that could have possibly happened. I would ask him to return. And, the mistake would be the same, only in a different color.
I would never charge such a valued patron of cake. I would take the frosting off the cake and wrap it well for the freezer, should another patron of cake ask for the same inscriptions. Problem solved.

Reason: spelling
I see no hate. I see truth. He wanted a cake that said God Hates Homosexuality. That's the truth. I am no christian so don't believe in the voodoo in the sky stuff but I have read the bible etc...He proved his point that pro homosexuals HATE traditional marriage folks using free speech.

Got it. "God hates..." but you see no hate in god hating. I fail to see your "logic."

That's not a surprise. Different people see "hate" behind everything....its pretty much lost its entire meaning...oh he doesn't like me he must hate me! Oh he doesn't agree with my views he must hate me! Give me a break.
YES! Finally they will get a taste of what its like to have your livelihood threatened by someone that doesn't agree with you.
Interesting. I wonder if you can find a bakery owned by gays and force them to bake cakes like that the way gays force Christian bakeries to bake cakes which rub against their faith.
