LOL, you Israel-firsters are an insane bunch. I don't think you all will ever be happy until we are in the thick of WW3 and "The Christian apocalypse". People need to realize how dangerous this makes your group, so we can ignore any further input in order to save our country.
Another iran apologist, aka iran-firster...best ignored. Bubye.

The Prime Minister of Israel always attends that meeting - Obama has actually given speeches at AIPAC.

Nothing more humorous to me than TeamObama ranting about "protocol" .... considering they don't have a clue or give a flip about their own "protocol".

John Boehner has issued a similar invitation to the Pope to speak to a Joint Session of Congress. TeamObama had nothing to say about that and Nancy Pelosi praised it. Funny.
Obama the idiot talking about "protocol"? Where was he during the french march of leaders in paris last week? Every major leader was there - and the US wasn't even represented... like many weak posters here, he does not have a clue.

When was the last time US did something like this?

The pope is not facing elections in the Vatican, so why should there be an issue with him?
Are you seriously pretending american politicians do not grandstand days, hours or even minutes before elections? Really?

Reading the papers, Netanyahu is taking a beating over this in Israel. They say this is damaging the US-Israeli relations by this stunt. Israelis also say the last time US interfered with Israeli elections was in 1992 when George H.W. Bush suspended loan guarantees to Israel to protest settlement expansion. That was done in order to help Rabin win the elections.

Ironically Netanyahu has said this in the past: “I can’t find an example of any previous Israeli government whose prime minister, on the eve of elections, made a cynical attempt to use relations between Israel and the United States as a party advertisement,’’

LOL.

Politicians will be politicians.

I am pro-Israel, and always will be, but US needs to realize then we are being played.

No, that is not what I said. Where did you get that idea

What I said (twice) was very clear: US does not typically invite heads of state on the eve of their elections, because it makes it look like US is trying to influence the outcome of those elections.

Can you name the last time we did that?

Haha-when did I say anything about Iran? You are being hysterical and maybe this topic is too emotional for you to discuss.

My only concern is the United States of America. It's extremely odd how that offends you.

I support Israel and am a dual citizen with Ireland but I would never put another countries interest above my own. I'd like to see a simple peaceful solution but it's about time we remove ourselves from the equation.

I could only imagine the outrage if the President had flown to France in Air Force One to walk through the middle of Paris with a couple of million people. "what a waste of money" and "How dare he ignore ____ by going to France." When you hate someone everything they do offends you.

Anyway, since when has Congress been responsible for foreign policy? It's the job of the White House to extend invitations to foreign leaders to visit, much less speak before Congress. The last thing Netanyahu wants is a stable relationship with Iran, as it removes one of the major boogeyman that keeps his right-wing government in power. And frankly, we maintain friendly status with nations that are far more oppressive and dangerous than Iran. It's not Persian shias that are beheading Christians, selling women into slavery, and slaughtering fellow muslims.

Thank God YOU are NOT one of our leaders with your immature outlook and "reasoning".

Boehner & co. will end up looking like the immature boors they are. Not only that, but they are now setting a precedent for the opposition party to ignore the WH in the future. It is truly repulsive. Thank you House GOP for lowering the bar for the future.
Typical Obama supporter response.

"I don't like what you did so I will cast juvenile insults at you".

On top of that you are DEAD WRONG.

"Proctorial and Class". Since when in the past 8 years has the dems in Congress displayed ANY class?

Obama has broken so many protocols it isn't funny.

Some just can't stand it when they loose. "We won, get over it".

I would like to see an Iranian politician given the opportunity to explain their reasoning behind their efforts to developing a non petroleum energy source.

I have been tired of the Israeli tail wagging the US dog.
