Basically, if you're a teenager you earn 1/2 the minimum wage.

If you're disabled, you'll also earn less - though I believe there's something going on in their court system about this in particular.

There are also these things called "awards" that need to be figured in to come up w/ your pay.

Just search any Australian government site and you'll find all the info you need.
And what about that is wrong? That should make right wingers happy here. Teenagers get paid less because they don't need the higher minimum wage, and those that need to put a roof over their head can do so even with a minimum wage job.

Picking a scapegoat has always worked magic. Marx's trump card was class warfare. Hitler used the ethnic-race card. It is high time that we reject Obama's warfare pitting American against American or the U.S will be fundamentally changed. Do you want to live under a tyrannical government?
So when all is lost, you resort to comparing Obama to Hitler. Nice.

The average weekly earnings in Dec. 2014 was $849.78. When you factor in that it's approximately 15% more expensive to live in Sydney than in Los Angeles (closest comparison) you'd need to make $822 a week to be on par with the average weekly earning according to ABS.gov

Sydney is 15% more expensive than Los Angeles. Cost of Living Jan 2015.

It looks like it's time to change whoever is consulting/teaching you or you need to get your money back because they're failing you miserably.

You've been singing the virtues of Australia's minimum wage that almost double the US - and did not realize that it truly wasn't what it seemed.

And do you really think if they need to hire at a local Maccas, they'll hire anyone else other than teens? Doubtful.

Actually, I do think it's a good idea - I believe Krauthammer brought it up once before as a two-tier minimum wage system.

15% more expensive doesn't tell the whole story unless you are a shopaholic or a drinker. Also, that doesn't account for health insurance that Americans have to pay for, so make sure you subtract that from available spending salary.

Teens can't work at any time, there will always be times that adults will have to be paid. But regardless, those are the types of jobs teens should have. That is something right wingers are always saying.

I believe this is how it works ...

Under 17 - 55%
17 - under 18 - 65%
18 - under 19 - 75%
19 - under 20 - 85%

If you were 17, you'd receive 65% of minimum wage, and so forth.

That is actually a very good system to have in place. It is very reasonable, wouldn't you say?

Not really. It means lower employment for older workers. I imagine some people get fired on their birthday.

You imagine some people get fired on their 21st birthday? I find that hard to imagine, but I am sure a rare case of that has happened here or there. Still who works these places when the teens are in school?
