I see these statistics as a measure of both crowding and poverty. Solve those problems and the murder rate will drop. Arm the population so individuals can defend themselves and the rate drops further. (note Plano, TX)

I believe in individual gun control as exemplified by selecting a legitimate target, drawing the gun and hitting the selected target with enough bullets to eliminate the threat.

Put a push pin in a map for each violent act and you will see the pins are clustered.

Very predictable where the next killing takes place.

further, when you identify a city where there are a cluster of pins, figure out the square miles of that city and then look up the state police website and see the list of organized gangs. Hardly enough room to accomodate warring gangs who make a living selling illegal drugs to your good buddies who rail against gun violence.

Newark Nj for instance has had an unbroken string of a murder a month since the 60s. The murder rate is far more than that now. This is in one of the top two states with the strictest gun laws.

Now conside newark is about 26 sq miles and is home to around 50 or so named gangs.
Can you guess where the next murder takes place? giving the other cities a chance to participate in their murder tally.

Be sure to thank your buds who buy illegal drugs for supporting the violence. Might consider sending a sympathy card to the next child killed as colateral damage in a gang shootout. Best not to sign the card with your real name.

I just saw this video and come to C-D to add a link to find juneaubound had already done the deed. Bill Whittle is always above the pack when it comes to commentary, this video among his best.

Loved this because of it's accuracy. In reality you could give some people a tank and they would never think of hurting other people with it and you can give some people a table spoon and they will try and kill you with it. It really does boil down to people and not "guns are EEEVVVILLL!!!"
