Why try to spin it? The article's terms were very clear:

"...an increase in volcanically induced cooling over the early 21st century."
So, again, I'll have to ask... What exactly do you expect the government to do about volcanically induced cooling? Pass a law against volcanoes? Good luck with that.

Repetition of talking points doesn't make them true. And you don't seem to understand what your own reference is telling you. But I do.

I'm sure that's absolutely true. What's not true is that it supports the denialist claim that temperatures aren't increasing globally. And it certainly doesn't support the denialist accusations of widespread fraud among non-denialists.

Okay, I see we need to take this one step at a time.

First-- do you understand that warming and cooling can occur at the same time?

The not made-up scientific data does, though. Global cooling. Not warming.

They aren't. They're cooling.

2005 was one of the warmest years on record, tied with 2010.
Obviously if you use it as your start point, there isn't going to be much of a warming trend.

It's also statistically insignificant.

If your limited attention span can handle it, NASA's realclimate has a good explanation for it all:

RealClimate: Recent global warming trends: significant or paused or what?

Record high temperature in 1913; record low in 2010
