Then when the invasion of Afghanistan started being seriously talked about, they went back to their "Muslims are victims of the mean ol' U.S.A. and Israel" schtick.
The invasion of Afghanistan was favored by the US public by a margin of 80-18.
Umm.
I see them as less defending the violent, the radicals, and the "government overthrowing kooks" and more defending that one guy named Hussain who owns that schwarma place down on 15th and Main St. You know, the one who spends his time crafting his hummus recipe rather than despising other religions via message board.
Uh...no. Not in the U.S. That's what the Constitution is for. Establishment clause. That "separation of church and state" thing that I see fellow Christians get pissy about every few months or so.* That's put in place specifically so that "Islamization" or "Christification" or whatever doesn't happen. I really thought the American people moved beyond such hate...reminds me of Blacks Americans and their fight for Civil Rights and against Jim Crow laws.
There reaches a point in time when people wake up to these people and stop making excuses/justifying why Americans should always be turning the other cheek...
