Are the people who want more training ever read the manual that comes with a gun?

It 30+ pages written in 20+ font.....and has a LOT of pictures of what to do and what not to do...

Yet, these same people cannot understand that if someone does not want to learn, they won't....

Hell, go by a ladder and tell me why every step has a warning....

Sounds good to me also. Heck, you could add a 'fine print' condition onto EBT cards...."can only be redeemed for nourishing food or your weapon of choice". Think of the poor 47% who currently cannot afford a personal pocket soother.

They cannot afford Cadillacs either and no one is considering them deprived due to that little hurdle...er are they?

The study I posted upthread showed a different pattern. A method of suicide was taken out of circulation, and the suicide rate dropped markedly, particulrly among those groups who had previously been using that method.

National stats are almost meaningless for comparisons, cultures differ. But when we have a country that removes a specific means of suicide and sees a drop within that same population, isn't that noteworthy?

Driver education isn't taught from car instruction manuals, either.

You were commenting on my post and said "you anti-gunners" referring to me as if I were a part of a bigger group. So yes, I agree, reading comprehension is good, maybe you should give it a try some time.

Cultures differ within the US, too.

How do you propose to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill within the constraints of the Second Amendment?

You don't just "get your training" and consider yourself done. As with any other high risk task, there has to be constant reinforcement and updating.

Take texting and driving for instance. You can't just say there are instructions against texting and driving in the owners manual that came with the phone and consider that the end of the matter.

You will sometimes hear people claim you can't fix stupid, but in fact we do it all the time.

Yep, you clearly stated "I"...

So again, reading comprehension on your part, even writing in general may do you very good.
