The incident with Iran is laughable, and bush is using a grainy video of a couple of speedboats as proof that Iran is a threat.
Can our war ships not vaporize a couple of little speedboats zipping around in front of them? If not, we've got bigger problems than Iran. Bush is itching BAD to get into a new war before he leaves office. Sadly, we will likely end up with a hawk in office again because the media is pushing them. Hillary will not pull out of the middle east, if anything she will lower the number of troops there.
Get ready for endless war folks. War will never be over for America again until we go broke, which probably isn't that far away.
I'm so tired of the lies. And I'm so tired of the promotion of the lies as 'reality' or 'truth'. I'm tired of being discouraged from and ridiculed for asking the right questions.
Our government manufactures lies and its corporate backers and bankers profit from death, plain and simple. Why is that not enough for us to act to change things? Are we that afraid of the actions necessary? Are we that afraid of the responsibility to create a better way, an alternative?
Anger sure isn't what it used to be. It certainly doesn't rile up the masses like it used to. Maybe our corporate overlords found a way to diffuse that, too. Must be something in the water, broadcast over the radio and TV, or hidden in toilet paper and kleenex.
I wish we could get back to the topic of the Gulf of Tonkin discussion.
So how many American, Cambodian, Lao and Vietnamese lives were lost as a result of this hoax? How many people died as a result of this fabrication.
I don't care about the timing of the information, I care that people who fought in the escalation of that war are now living on the streets, have lives that are shattered, have no where to turn for help. I care that families were destroyed as a result.
I care that we get duped time and again. I care that my tax dollars are used to kill people for no good reason at all. I care that the type of pain, destruction and evil that the US perpetrates on the rest of the world is our downfall.
Let's look at the message, not the messenger or the timing of the message.
A recently declassified government report says that the supposed attack in VietNam on American ships by the Communists never actually happened. It was all made up apparently as an excuse to escalate the War.
Maybe something to keep in mind as we get spoonfed tidbits about the War on Terror.
That was a reported North Vietnamese attack on American destroyers that helped lead to president Lyndon Johnson's sharp escalation of American forces in Vietnam.
The author of the report "demonstrates that not only is it not true, as (then US) secretary of defense Robert McNamara told Congress, that the evidence of an attack was 'unimpeachable,' but that to the contrary, a review of the classified signals intelligence proves that 'no attack happened that night,'" FAS said in a statement.
Why is it all you liberal, fact spouting, know it alls hide behind a totally blank profile? Is it because you need to have an anonymous wall to hide behind?
Gee, and Iran just "threatened" a ship of ours supposedly...I don't believe one word out of this administration anyway, I just think its funny you posted this today. Bush is ITCHIN' to get Iran, regardless of how stupid the "reason" (LIE).
yes, I saw that report to, and candidly, couldn't help but wonder?
It must be wonderful to work in Washington, as a politician, knowing American's are finally not so in the dark anymore....

I guess the Commies are lying, too.
From Wikipedia:
Vietnam's Navy Anniversary Day is August 5, the date of the second attack, Vietnamese time, where "one of our torpedo squadrons chased the U.S.S. Maddox from our coastal waters, our first victory over the U.S. Navy". [22]

Sorry Mikey. I didn't know this was like a yearbook or something.
I personally could care less what people want to stick in their profiles. I just care if they have logical points to address in their posts, or if they prefer to just post vapid and silly responses that do nothing to add to the discussion.
