Bye, bye Brian...

He can always fall back on his personal passion in life - that of a fiction writer

I don't think his transgression is career-ending unlike Dan "Fake but Accurate" Blather. Even if he's done at NBC, he'll land on his feet somewhere. Maybe not as an anchor, but he'll be back in the business in some capacity.

If he's such a good liar, maybe they can hire him to drum up public support for global warming.

There is always an elected office. Lying is accepted there.

ETA: NBC Suspends Brian Williams for 6 Months Without Pay - NYTimes

Just another chapter in the NBC saga.

They have become so ideologocally entrenched that they are no longer viable as a trustworthy news outlet. Williams was probably the last of the old guard, and now we see that even he was corrupted by the machine he worked for.

Williams' fibs weren't ideologically motivated; he was motivated by self-aggrandizement.

Now that Rosie is gone from 'The View', He can get a job there and tell first hand personal experience stories. And now that there is an opening at NBC nightly news, Rosie can be the teleprompter reader. She is also honest, truthful, fair, balanced, stable and will fit right in with the NBC agenda.
