And just where is there anything factual proving that "But the White House and the State Department is now exposed as seriously interfering in Israeli politics with the Obama team, financed by the Obama Administration, working to unseat Benjamin Netanyahu and his party in Israel’s upcoming election." in the decidedly biased blog?
I don't understand the thread title. What "Netanyahu crisis"? He was invited to address congress and it appears that he will do so. Obama throwing a temper tantrum is hardly a crisis, he does so every week. The child king stomping his feet is hardly news.
Any crisis is due to both Obama's narcissism, intransigence and attempts to influence an internal election of one of our best international supporters. The "crisis", such that it is, is due to Obama.

Not sure how this is "bypassing the president", if the invitation came from a co-equal branch of government, and, apparently, the administration was informed before accepting the invitation.
I'm with you on this one.
Actually, it is the Executive that is responsible for receiving foreign ministers. Art. II, sec. 3. Perhaps more importantly, it is the White House, not Congress, that makes treaties (a potential treaty is the subject of Netanyahu's speech). Congress' foreign affairs powers are limited.

And being informed at the last minute that "hey I am going to go behind you and try and influence this with a speech to your congress" doesn't make it better. Its cheap theatre that will damage our relationship.
Yep. Looks like the Israelis aren't 100% happy about their assigned role in Boehner's cute little scheme. Way to treat a foreign head of government, Bohner - they all just love being used as pawns in US domestic politics. Shows them their proper place.
Is it bad I'm sorta enjoying watching this unfold?
Uh, how do you know that he was informed "at the last moment"? Perhaps he had months of notice, or do you just assume king obama is always correct, about all things, all the time, every day?

I believe boehner himself said he informed obama the same day he issued the invitation to natanyahu.
Sorry but again, bypassing the president on this, and going to congress is in fact getting involved in our internal politics no matter how you try to spin it or wordsmith it. Please stop being intentionally obtuse. It does you no credit.
Yes.
Actually I was a bit more offended by that one in some ways.
"Sorry but again, bypassing the president on this"
Please show us ANYTHING that says Congress CANNOT invite ANYONE they want and that they have to get approval from the White House.
I think there has been around 100 foreign dignitaries who have spoken before Congress.
