There is no legal way to do as you describe. So, either you are cheating on your taxes, or you don't understand how capital equipment is depreciated/immediately expensed. Since most people are usually not willing to admit to tax evasion on an open forum, the most likely explanation is that you don't really understand the process. That lack of understaning would lead one to not properly calculate the gain on disposition, and as a result, not pay the tax on the gain.
Can you tell us how you are able to write the tools off, and then depreciate them over five years? What you describe would double the allowable deduction.
Thanks the lord, each tax return is viewed & processed independently each year and not side by side, to see what was what last year or 3 years ago.
The dreaded audit... Been there done that in the 90's and it helped me understand what they look for.
Okay. Please keep your vehicle off the public roads so I'm not paying for the damage you're causing
If I let you tell me what I can and cannot do, is the day I become oppressed by another....
You kidding, I paid the registration and the inspection.... Then I deducted it from my tax return as the cost of doing business.
I saw a documentary sometime ago, don't remember the name, but two ex-IRS agents were interviewed and they both said nowhere could they find the actual law that says someone must pay income tax. Most of the money from income tax goes to pay interest to the federal reserve.
Furthermore, income tax is unconstitutional, isn't that why we broke ties with Britain in the first place?
Personally, those that make less than 100k a year shouldn't have to pay income tax at all

It's the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Specifically 26 U.S. Code sec. 6151(a).

You really need to refamiliarize yourself with the basics. Go watch some Schoolhouse Rock.

That response is somewhat cryptic. Are you stating that in fact you DO cheat on your taxes, and you can do it because you know what the IRS is looking for?

No. You are stating that.
Taxes are not a game or a test.
