The economy adding 3.1 million jobs in 2014. That's more than double GWB's haul in eight monumentally disastrous years as president.
But 9 million left the workforce due to the crappy economy. More people on welfare. Obamacare prices sucking the life out of the middle class.

Yeah, some rip roaring success you have there. But the you bots keep deluding yourselves that the idiot you voted for twice crap smells like roses and that he is the most honest person in the world.

The economy didn't turn around until Republicans took control of Congress...same thing when Clinton was President. But I do like that things go well with a Dem President and Republican Congress. Disaster strikes when Dems have full control.

Two years ago, the struggling economy was all on Obama. Now that it's improving rapidly, Congress gets the credit? How shameless are you people? Then you have right-wingers who insist the economy is still in the crapper:

Dream on, the economy is in the toilet, exactly where the communist president deserves to be. Any who believe in him are proof that you really can't fix.******....
You guys are all over the place. Let's find a middle ground, Ok? The economy is turning around, and the GOP had absolutely nothing to do with.

If anything they prolonged the recovery. It was Republicans who refused to vote on a Democratic jobs bill that even conservative economists said would create up to two million new jobs. It was Republicans who refused to renew unemployment benefits for the long-term unemployed and keep interest rates on student loans affordable. It was Republicans who crippled the economy by shutting down the federal government and who prolonged financial and economic uncertainty by repeatedly playing chicken with the full faith and credit of the United States. They deserve not one ounce of credit for the strides we've made.

For the entire time the Democrats had control of congress the economy did nothing. You all cried and shrieked about the "party of no" and "Republican obstructionism." After the Republicans took control of congress and stopped the Democrat agenda, the economy started to slowly recover on its own.

Those are the facts. You cannot even deny them because you hamstrung yourself with all your whining about the "do nothing congress." Sorry genius, but you can't complain about the Republicans stopping the government from doing anything and then credit the government with turning the economy around.

You blew your chance to take credit for the economy improving with all your moaning about the Republicans preventing you from doing anything. That was pretty short sighted of you, but what's done is done. You already played your cards with all the "obstructionism" rhetoric and therefore admitted that the Democrats weren't able to enact their agenda, so you can't now claim the Democrat agenda is what saved the economy.

Pretty sure they were combatting the worst recession in 80 years. The one stoked by failed GOP policies.

Actually, current 59-month streak of private sector job growth began well before the abysmal failure known as the GOP took the House in 2010. Your pitiful attempt to rewrite history have been rebuked.

GOP leaders flat-out admitted they wanted Obama to fail, and their growth-stifling policies reflect that mindset. The public (minus bought-and-paid for right-wingers like yourself) saw through this, which is why their popularity ranks right up there with herpes: RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Congressional Job Approval

History will be even more brutal this current crop of garbage Republicans, and rightfully so. They are a farce.

Lexus, you are still too proud of the weakest economic recovery on record, one that is largely due to the Republicans. They stopped the over-extension of unemployment benefits, and employment began recovering immediately. This was as predicted by economists decades ago--including Obama advisors. They stopped squirting money around at random in the name of stimulus, in programs that just roiled the economy without doing any good at all for the overall growth rate.

Yes, thank goodness the Republicans were willing to make Obama look good by giving him a better economy than his desired policies could ever have produced. The Republicans made your fantasy possible, Lexus, so you can pretend we were saved by the Savior.

Yes...

The Great GOP Recession has been the worst economic disaster in three generations. It has taken more time than it should have to begin the recovery because of the traitorous Pub desire to "make this presidency a failure."

In all fairness though, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (a pure GOP piece of legislation) was signed into law by Bill Clinton. He should have vetoed it. We'd all be so much better off today if he would have.

It is beyond ignorant to start crowing about Obamas economic record when his term is not over. Bush had good numbers for most of his term and it was the last year and half that it unraveled. Same fate could await Obama, who knows maybe some economist will be right and there will be a huge correction in the stock market. Which in turn could cause UE to rise and maybe another recession. I think I will wait and see before I judge.
