LOL-what does the minimum wage have to do with this?
Are you aware that waiters aren't paid anywhere close to minimum wage in the US by their employers?
That kind of throws your whole argument about minimum wage policies being the reason for automation out the window. Automation is coming regardless and in more professional occupations too.

Exactly. To presume it was a liberal or conservative agenda? That resulted to drones over... a human waiter? Is not in the BBC article. To say that..... and infer it is the result of political agendas....was off topic of the BBC post. Someone calls it drivel too. I agree. Also all tourist sights on visiting Singapore. Also say tipping is not as a requirement? Some Restaurants and Hotels. Add a 5% to 10% fee already?
Do you tip a drone? No but it depends on the nation you are in if you do tip a living waiter... or should.
This Tripadvisor post claims the tip actually goes to the Restaurants profits in Singapore.
How is pointing out the fact that waiters are not subject to the minimum requirement of topic or a personal attack?
I would like to point out that blaming drone usage by businesses on a minimum wage requirement for jobs not subject to that requirement is nothing but trolling. On top of the fact that this story didn't even take place in the U.S.
So the troll level down comment is also not a personal attack, but just a statement of fact.
The fact that a Mod felt the need to delete my whole comment seems absurd.

Right on my whole post too.... The thread should have just been closed.
I guess if I don't like my next meal I can just yell at the Robowaiter. I'm not tipping it either! (Just park it in the back when you close the store, robots don't need no stinking wages!)
There is no minimum wage in Singapore and an acute shortage of wait staff.
