Ever contact your congressional representative (letter, email, call)? Did it work? Is it possible for an ordinary citizen to "lobby" on a cause or propose legislation?
My local representative Robin Kelly is the absolute worst. I asked her why she supports banning guns but believes the system is too hard on gang bangers and she blocked me from her Facebook page (her official one). I firmly believe she is on drugs because when I've seen her she looks stoned. I see her in local parades and I will often swear at her, give her the finger or throw things at her because she is so rude to me.
Dick Durbin has always been cool and even when he disagrees is nice about it. I generally like him and have worked for him.

Sure:I was part of the e-mail flood when they tried to pass immigration reform that included amnesty when Bush was president. I simply said I would not vote for him/her in primary or election day when it came. if he voted for it.We saw what happened they withdrew it from floor of senate.
