Please, tell us your plan for cuts. Gotta cut the military and those pensions...
I know you don't follow the "REAL" news but, defense HAS been cut several times now over the past several years.

Even with that I KNOW there is a whole lot of waste in ALL gov't, even the military.

Please be more specific on "pensions".

6. Consolidate poverty programs and focus on reducing fraud
7. Legalize soft drugs and prostitution to reduce the strain on corrections systems. Tax both activities to increase revenue.

SS, welfare and other entitlement programs account for 60% of Federal spending and are filled with fraud. Reducing the abuse of those programs would be the fastest way to balance the budget.
Social Security is short ONLY because the gov't "borrowed" the money from the Social Security trust fund and NOW has to pay it back because SS doesn't collect as much as they pay out.

Nonsense... I am a proponent of returning most everything back to the most local level possible, but to believe that a government entity is the most efficient and effective way of running police fire and infrastructure is naïve or ignorant.

Or heard of Arizona who cut K-12 spending do bad the state got sued the schools and LOST and now contesting the settlement because "We can't pay for that." Oh and the cuts to Arizona's cold protective services that forced it to be privatized as a result off thousands of dropped cases. This is Arizona, home off constitutional republicans and libertarian leaning republicans...

So you want a corporation with corporate interests running our police departments? Should they run the courts too?

I understand that to you those are "bad" words, "Corporation" and "Corporate interests" however across the board they do a much more efficient and effective job than GOVERNMENT.

Since Congress is so hot to cut benefits to the public, cut theirs. Make government employees pensions less generous. And an overlooked revenue source: start collecting fines from employers of illegal aliens.
