$169,000 to do what these people do? Mind boggling.

This discussion about Congressional pay comes up every year, the pay is part of the annual adjustment for all federal and military employees.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! A pay reduction like they forced on employees in some industries is more in order. They get everything free...insurance, healthcare, retirement, pensions, etc...and what do they really do for it?

Is that why our Social Security only went on 3.1% this year while the cost of living went up 3.9%?

Obviously NOT. I'm not getting a 4k pay raise and I certainly wouldn't expect these folks who in large part have failed the US the past couple years AND who also already make much more money than the average US citizen to get any raise whatsoever this year. It is just pathetic. Their pay should be tied to performance review and performance measures. I'm not saying I have all the answers, but these folks are bankrupting the US, how can they justify raises for themselves?

Oh great...now I feel worse. Pay raises for Federal employees and the military are okay by me.

Everyone is so upset with these useless good for nothing clowns.

Soooo why do you all go out and waste your precious time to vote for them?

By voting you are supporting them and telling them they are doing great and you do indeed approve of their shenanigans.

They refused to raise the minimum wage for the poor for 10 years straight. Yet every one of those years they voted themselves massive raises.

Sorry but Im too good to forcefully make myself look stupid.

They deserve a cut. And they should not be allowed to keep leftover election donations.
