As of this morning, 51 of 67 probate judges in Alabama have refused to comply with the verdict of the Federal court that there is no valid reason that same-sex couples should not be permitted to wed. Many of them locked the offices and quit issuing marriage licenses to anyone regardless of the sex of the parties involved.
Someone should tell these morons that marriage was not invented by Christians, but was practiced by Pagans and Native Americans years before Christianity existed. Both groups, BTW, performed same-sex marriages. They are public servants, not defenders of public morality. They are a group that is legislating from the bench if any group ever did, and refusing to obey proper legal proceedings and findings.

May it come soon, and may all of these so-called judges be defrocked and replaced with competent people who can actually read the Constitution and understand the pecking order between state and federal law.
