As of this morning, 51 of 67 probate judges in Alabama have refused to comply with the verdict of the Federal court that there is no valid reason that same-sex couples should not be permitted to wed. Many of them locked the offices and quit issuing marriage licenses to anyone regardless of the sex of the parties involved.

Someone should tell these morons that marriage was not invented by Christians, but was practiced by Pagans and Native Americans years before Christianity existed. Both groups, BTW, performed same-sex marriages. They are public servants, not defenders of public morality. They are a group that is legislating from the bench if any group ever did, and refusing to obey proper legal proceedings and findings.

Alabama will be drug into the 21st Century kicking and whining like they were with civil rights legislation 50 years ago. May it come soon, and may all of these so-called judges be defrocked and replaced with competent people who can actually read the Constitution and understand the pecking order between state and federal law. Twits.

Gay marriage affects about 3 percent of the population.
It accounts for a much larger percent of whining.

Isn't it wonderful that we live in a republic where the majority cannot override the rights of minorities? If it's only 3%, it really shouldn't cause anyone any concern anyway , regardless of what they do.

Barack Obama has refused to comply with Federal immigration laws. Of course you're as equally outraged about that. Of course you are......

From my understanding there is a group threatening to sue every judge that doesn't comply with the federal order.

Temper tantrums. Kicking over the table when they're losing the game, it's almost funny.

Oh, goodie. I'm sure Alabama's constituents will find that legal defense a GREAT use of public funds.

Another aspect of Alabama government. I noticed they are shutting down their mental health program on Friday. What's going to happen to those folks?
