Do you think that men and women should have to cover themselves up in public (outside of beaches & boardwalks)? Not necessary with hijabs/Islamic clothing, but women not having their boobs sticking out or in people's face, not having to deal with some women wearing very short skirts, some men not wearing shirts, etc. This may also prevent any sex crimes, pedophilia, and other immoral behaviors.
Indeed many public schools have dress code, why can't we have similar dress code out in the public square? If public schools can get away with it, then it should be legal everywhere. Obviously what people do in their private homes nobody's business.
Dubai is a good example of a place with dress code; a modern secularized society, yet conservative.

Yes, men not wearing shirts always commit sex crimes; don't you watch the news? Men without shirts commit most crimes in society.
This is America, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
So, anyone is free to wear whatever they want in public, if they are brave enough!
As for sex crimes, it wouldn't matter what a person was wearing because those crimes are not about sex, but control.
^^this^^
while certain parts should be covered in public, what a person wears is up to them.
sex crimes are going to happen regardless of what someone wears, because they are not about sex but rather power. saying someone was raped because of what they wore is like saying banks get robbed because there are guns in society.
No way should we have a "dress code" for the public. How would something like that be enforced? There are a lot of things that I'd rather not see in public but I have the choice of looking away.
I think men should invest in a functional belt. Far to much plumbers crack out there for my sensitive eyes.
