I don't think a college degree is a prerequisite to becoming President. However, they will need to demonstrate their intelligence and leadership through other means.
As long as he's NOT a Republican. If he is a Republican, this is a sure sign that the reason he doesn't have a college degree, is because he's ignorant, dumb, and stupid...which would like make him a racist and a bigot, with narrow-minded views and an overly simplistic, misinformed approach to the problems which plague this nation.
A Democrat without a degree likely has a PhD in life, overcoming adversity and struggle, well-informed about the historically disadvantaged and discriminated against, far more enlightened about the brilliance, talent, drive, resolve of people who typically have not been given the greatest consideration in this society. This person is not a bigot or racist, and doesn't throw out stupid phases like "reverse racism", "meritocracy", "race card", or "race baiter". This person is likely well-read, full of depth, character, dignity, and common sense...which are exactly the qualities that are needed in office. The person would be able to get a PhD from one of the top schools were he/she not prevented from taking advantage of the opportunity, because of their personal hardships and circumstances. We need more of such people in high office, especially to replace Republicans.

Once again, Lexus, your command of the facts and honest non-biased opinions shine through.

I don't see how having a degree ensures you understand any of those things, if your degree is in say, Video Game Design.
It's highly dependent on who you are and what you study... and more importantly, what you learn in the 30 to 40 years between graduation and the Inaugural Ball, when college is a distant memory.
Who in congress, or what president, has a degree in video game design?
I am guessing that most people here, who don't think the leader of the free world should have a higher education, doesn't have an education beyond high school.
Only those who have earned college degrees, appreciate the caliber of useful knowledge obtained from higher education.
Having a degree means nothing. It's always about policy. Unfortunately I can see the uninformed thinking it matters.
Gee, what critical thinking does one need to formulate policies? Would information and knowledge obtained from education provide tools for critical thinking?
What is next from the right, that a high school dropout can be president of the United States?
