The US Supreme Court just really needs to start pre-emptively striking down this kind of unconstitutional garbage coming from some of these backwater legislatures. What a waste of tax payer dollars to spend time on a bill like this, that has no chance of standing up under legal challenge.
I agree 100%.What a waste of time and money. Foster parents are needed so badly and to pick and choose special families for special pay because they are holier than though is a sham. What we need are just plain, loving people who are willing to take children, often with problems into their homes and give them the love they have never had. The money that is received is not meant to be anything but a sum that helps pay for the extra cost these children put on parents. I know, we were foster parents for many years.
Why not just bring back orphanages and children's homes? I would think that privately operated, for-profit and religious orphanages would set a conservative heart a-tingling and pockets a-jingling like private prisons have.
I think churchgoers are bad role models. They often teach rigidity, intolerance of others, and encourage kids to reject rationality for a belief in supernatural beings and fairy tales. If anything, government should be paying liberal, homosexual, atheist foster parents who work in scientific fields the most money.
And psychotics think everyone else but them are crazy too!
"Senate Bill 158 creates a 'special category' known as licensed CARE families, who would receive 'substantially higher' pay from the state than foster families deemed unacceptable to the CARE program." To qualify as one of there these substantially higher paid foster families, you must be a "churchgoing 'husband and wife team.'"

^^^^Just pointing out the formula some people use whenever one idiot does something....and then others pile on to make unfair generalizations about blacks....or Kansans...or liberals....or gays.....
If the state passed that law, then fine go after them, but you guys are just acting like clowns instead over one guy proposing a law that won't go anywhere.
But if you want to talk about how one individual represents a whole state or group of people then this will be a hillarious lesson in hypocrisy.
