it's friggin dangerously cold out there! 0 degrees, -22 with the wind chill in NY, coldest February on record. Not a peep from the weather channels or the media about it. Where are those damn tin-foil-hat global warming alarmists now?

Is the goal to prevent the climate from changing? If so, what is the "normal" climate that needs to be maintained? I have never come across anyone willing to address those questions.
whatever can be taxed is the one that needs to change.
In all seriousness, you ask a great question. The fact is humans absolutely,positively thrive in warmer climates and when CO2 levels are higher. Crops are more plentiful, water more plentiful, nature thrives, humans thrive.

Just because the earth's atmosphere is warming and accumulating carbon dioxide does not mean that the weather EVERYWHERE is just going to consistently be like a tropical jungle. In fact, the more accurate way to understand the impact of it is in climate VARIABILITY - more violent thunderstorms, worse droughts and heat waves, more ferocious winter storms. Doesn't mean winter storms are done everywhere.

Here in California we are having record breaking heat, even in the far northern part of the state. We also had record warm summer. This has been our pattern for the past four years now. When a high blocks the moisture from coming in to the Pacific northwest, it causes the pattern of climate to change so that cold polar air drops down onto the east coast. Is not an ice age because it is cold where you are and is not indicitive of the entire USA.
