Nobody is using those quotes to justify anything. Those quotes are to dismiss the CRAZY and IGNORANT idea that the democrats were innocent little lambs when it came to Iraq.

Not only did they beat the drums of war over WMDs prior to Bush getting elected and well up to the war, but the Democrat leadership also voted to give Bush the authority to go into Iraq.

I guess I was wrong. It's not a case of you just being ignorant, it's a case of you being a partisan cheerleader.
They weren't innocent little lambs.

But they're not the ones who are responsible for invading Iraq.

Meh. They could have put up a fight and didn't. It's a sin of omission, but I'm not about to let them off the hook for that. Of course, with the mass hysteria gripping the country in those days (thank you, Rupert effin' Murdoch), it took more backbone than your average career politician possesses to vote no.

Besides, it was going to be a cheerful little war: A few eeks of fighting, greeted as liberators, home in time for tea and medals. And for the politicos, tons of photo ops looking concerned walking among the stockpiles of deactivated chemical weapons.

Actually the insurgents and the start of ISIS got a boost in 2006.

The roots of ISIS go back to Oct. 15, 2006, when what is known as the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) was established.

Military leaders didn't order the Iraq invasion. Neither did congress.

Just FYI.
Congress didn't? You sure about that? Don't deflect like Congress did.

Agreed and those that were found still "stockpiled", if you can call it that, were basically useless. Some didn't even detonate
