Remember them? How we invaded Iraq to prevent Hussein from getting WMD to terrorists? And then there weren't any? Well, there were. I saw a similar NYT story back in Dec. or so, and now this.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/16/wo...=top-news&_r=0

'Through the C.I.A.’s purchases, General Zahner said, hundreds of weapons with potential use for terrorists were quietly taken off the market. “This was a timely and effective initiative by our national intelligence partners that negated the use of these unique munitions,” he said.'

Although the Times story is couched in language emphasizing our failure to properly warn and protect our troops, there is no doubt what they were to be protected from was active and dangerous chemical weapons.

Looks like W was wrongly accused.

Oh boy!

Iraq has WMDs!

Let's stoke up the military machine for another invasion, because that first one sure was a winner.

I don't recall the frantic call to war having to do with unfireable munition left over from the Iran-Iraq war, but perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me?

There were no WMD's nor yellow cake, it was all a made up lie to Congress and the American people. To those who constantly say: but but democrats voted for it too, I say that they were lied to just like we were. The Bush Administration were a bunch liars and criminals. They got away with the slaughter of over 4000 Americans and Republicans continue to cheer about it. It is sickening.

Leading politicians from both parties told us for years that Iraq had WMD's and were a major threat to world police.

Should we have sent in troops? No, but that doesn't mean we didn't have both parties beating the drums of war.

What about all of the Democrats telling us Iraq had WMDs PRIOR to Bush being elected?

Selective memory?

Gee, if Saddam had WMD, you would think he would have used them against the US when we invaded Iraq. If not then, then when?
