I think the poster meant the Great Depression of the 1930's, not the "Great Recession" of 2008

There is some truth to what she stated but I don't see how you reach that point. Something in common with terrorists is that they are poor and uneducated, elevating their lifestyle would do wonders but where do you start in countries with a few million refugees in the middle of civil war.
