The situation is getting out of control there, ISIS and other Jihadists organizations actually control large swaths of the Libyan territory, including the city of Derna (ISIS Establishes Stronghold In Derna, Libya), and in the past few days the Italian government has discussed a possible military intervention against the Islamists forces with the baking of the UN.

Egypt has already started bombing ISIS targets (Egyptian warplanes bomb ISIS targets in Libya after killings of Christians - CNN.com) and is now seeking UN approval.

So, what do you think about possible Western intervention?

I say France/UK and company takes care of it if they think it's a problem.

It's slowly becoming a problem, there's a risk of it becoming another hotbed for Islamic fundamentalism and it's about 200 Km south of Italy and EU.

Whenever a boat full of immigrants tries to cross the Mediterranean, they are quickly rescued by the Maltese and Italian Coast Guards not to let them drown in the sea, but what if ISIS started sending some of their soldiers on these boats to create havoc in European countries?

I'm not in favour of a military intervention yet, but the situation has been worsening over the course of the last few months.

I am in favour of everything needed for stopping the atrocities commited by the ISIS. If a military intervention is the only way for preventing further actions of ISIS, it must be done.

Who are you going to put in power? it is a big mess out there. The so-called national assembly or whatever that is, is hiding on a boat in the port city of Tobruk close to the Egyptian boarder way far from Tripoli.

When Gaddafi was saying <<Al qaeda is taking advantage of this western funded insurrection to come to Libya>>, no-one wanted to listen to him, instead the U.S., France and U.K were racing to bomb the Libyan army on behalf of those thugs called rebels. Now the result is here. This is what happens when youngsters run world military powers.

I agree with you 100% . Let the France and the British send their troops out there to deal with the issue.
Sarkozy ripped off Gaddafi ,took millions of Euros from him to finance his own political campaign in France, then turned against Gaddafi and killed him.
This is not an American problem, it is a French and British problem.
Your chickens are coming home to roost.

Egypt has entered a sovereign nation and ran a bombing raid. Where is the UN emergency session and resolution that Egypt should have followed the incident with Libya with negotiations. Where was the protection of civilians during these raids? Where was the condemnation of blowing up private homes?

Italy should keep its colony in check...

No but seriously, sending ground forces - no. Bomb the suckers - go ahead. Just be sure you don't bomb any civilians.

I guess you forgot that the U.S., Britain and France equally pressured other NATO member states to enter the conflict. Remember when Germany got accused of being too wishy-washy in their approach towards Lybia?
