slenderman, You can't just stick your thumb out the window, see that it's cold and then say the world isn't getting warmer. All the data says the world is getting warmer just a tiny bit every year. You can say this isn't a big deal if you want, but to say "It's really cold right now, therefore no global warming is happening!" is just beyond ridiculous.

Look, take a look at this NASA page
http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/

See how it keeps getting warmer? I can bet you that some parts of the world had record cold temperatures throughout all those decades. You're literally just anecdotal about all of this and expect to be taken seriously..

“NASA being investigated for tampering with temperature data”

Climatologist Dr. David Legates tells the U.S. Senate of ‘the silencing of the dissenters': ‘Young scientists quickly learn to ‘do what is expected of them’ or at least remain quiet, lest they lose their career before it begins’

David Legates - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Umm...
Quote:
Legates is a signatory of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation's "An Evangelical Declaration on Global Warming".[10]
The declaration states:
"We believe Earth and its ecosystems — created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence — are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting, admirably suited for human flourishing, and displaying His glory. Earth's climate system is no exception."
Also...
Quote:
Legates was a co-author of a 2015 study published by the Chinese Science Bulletin, the journal of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, that used a simple climate model predicting an overall trend of approximately 1.0 C warming for the 2000 to 2100 period, drawing upon the historical record of 0.34 C warming from 1990 to 2014. The study's authors, a team made up of Legates with Dr. Willie Soon, Dr. William M. Briggs, and Lord Christopher Monckton, stated that they somewhat agreed with the IPCC’s ideas but found the organization's temperature predictions to be largely overstated.[5]
I have no way of knowing if NASA has been infiltrated by X-files conspiracy people or not. Maybe Legates is true. But what we do know for certain is that Legates believes in intelligent design, which is frankly kinda nuts.

And we also know that even Legates himself thinks the world will warm by 1 degree celsius by 2100. So even he's saying HEY, stop putting your thumb out the window, seeing its cold, and then denying the world is getting warmer.

I don't see one bit of empirical evidence. Please post things in your town that are directly effected by global climate change caused by man.

One month? This January marks the 360th consecutive month global temperature has been above the 20th century average.

The weather is not the climate.

No kidding. That's what we free thinkers said when algore and the rest of the GWNJ's blamed katrina on GW and doubling down by saying that over the next decade we'd be seeing larger and larger hurricanes until places like Miami and NO were wiped away.

We just make fun of the GWNJ's.

exactly...Global hurricane activity at historical record lows

Remember Sandy, the largest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded?

I wonder how many ultra super storms ravaged Earth during the billions of years it has orbited the Sun. The storms we will never know of as there is no recorded history of them. How about the earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, glaciers or meteors/comets which slammed the planet?

I wouldn't want anyone to get the idea weather or other global catastrophic events have never happened in history prior to the habitation of mankind...hey, wait a minute - isn't all of this due to man's doings?

Wasn't the iceberg which sunk the Titanic a result of man's destructive ways?

Are we being duped or something?
