The right is busily trashing Obama over his ISIS strategy, as if he's done absolutely nothing so far. They seem to be all hot to send American troops back into another Middle Eastern war.

But, when you ask how many more American lives are they willing to give up, or how much they're willing to spend, or even more directly, how many of THEIR KIDS they're willing to lose.....it gets awfully quiet.

He's asked Congress for the authority to use limited ground troops for very limited purposes, a prudent request. But, they won't even give him that even as they continue to criticize him for not doing enough!

They won't do it because he has no clear plan. He can't even admit that ISIS is Islamic terrorism.

Baloney. He has a very clear plan: Let the Iraqi and Kurdish ground forces do the heavy lifting, with support from us and other Arab nations. What's wrong with that plan?

As for not calling it Islamic terrorism? Do you know WHY they won't call it that? It's for a very good reason. That's what the enemy wants. They WANT to turn it into a religious war. They want to be identified as resisting a new Christian Crusade. It legitimizes what they're doing and aids in recruiting. But, Obama wisely won't play into their hands. So long as he doesn't identify them as Muslims, he denies them their religious war and keeps them marginalized within the larger Muslim community, which by the way, make up the bulk of our allies against ISIS.

Except most people already know and recognize that they ARE Muslims. And this is, in fact, a religious war. It is foolish to think that it isn't! If the President wants to make sure they don't get what they want (a new Crusade), then he doesn't need to send in ground troops. I would understand that. But his silly statement at the prayer breakfast had nothing to do with "not giving them what they want"--it had everything to do with political correctness and making sure not to offend Muslim people. It is time we call a spade a spade, and take political correctness and throw it in the garbage, where it belongs!

So, you would play right into the hands of the enemy just to make a point? That's not very good thinking.

And, no...."most people" DON'T know it is, in fact, a religious war. Most people who listen to FOX, maybe, but I think the rest of us would like to avoid a world-wide religious war which would kill millions if we can avoid it.

A liberal whining about something, what else is new?

Also your 2nd paragraph is patently false and ridiculous. Everyone knows conservatives are war hawks.

Can you read? Playing into the hands of the enemy, as I said, would be sending troops over there, which has not happened so far to directly fight ISIS. Merely calling them what they are (Muslims) is not.

And it is an obvious fact that it is a religious war. Most people do know this, because it is ONE religion out of the 5 major faiths that keeps killing nonbelievers and getting excuses made for them by liberals, such as yourself.

ISIL is operating out of Libya now. Libya is a country that Obama bombed, disposed of the government, and then had no plan for what to do afterwards. Obama has bombed 7 Arab countries since he took office. No wonder ISIL is on the rise.
