The Repugs are the hostage takers. They know they need the dems to pass the bill. The dems have told them to pass a clean bill but the repugs just cannot let that happen. What a bunch of idiots the repugs are.
Is that what happened from 2009 - today?
Guess the dems were REALLY stupid, since they controlled the hose and senate from 2009 -2010...then lost everything is 2012.....
Notice that since the repubs whooooooooooooooooooooooooooopeedddddddddddddddddd dddd the dems aszessssss in the last few congressional elections, it is now HOSTAGE taking......but when it was those dems doing it...well, they are just doing what is right...

Now back to speaking English. The Republicans have held government must pass bills hostage before via poison amendments. This is not a new tactic.
Reality-they can pass a clean bill. If they want to amend things this way they should feel free to pass that separately.
What? They can't? Because they used filibusters so heavily in the last decade that its redefined our politics to require a 2/3'rds majority?
heres my advice. Do what the Democrats should have done. Use the nuclear option, and get our government functioning again. Yes it means when you are in the minority again you wont be able to hold the government hostage. Cope. you abused that so heavily it needs to die anyways. The democrats should have just done it. DO IT. Lead the country and let the people judge your leadership.
Why "should" the Republicans deal with it in court rather than congress? I mean, you wouldn't say the President should sign a bill he dislikes and thinks is maybe unconstitutional and then litigate it rather than just veto. You'd want him to just veto it, and he would.
Deal with it in separate legislation. Easy. Problem solved.
The Democrat obstructionists are at it again. We'll see if they shut the government down again, like they did 2 years ago. Seems like a fact of life with Dems-waste taxpayer money by throwing tantrums.

As the judge stated, "Once the Jeanie is out of the bottle, it's nearly impossible to put it back in." The stay was the right way to go. The Senate should pass the bill forthwith.
