But sometimes marriages don't work out so do the best thing for the children and divorce.

Much better than ongoing conflict and abuse.

Republicans are only for "less government intrusion" when it supports their causes.

John A shcroft (for some reason, spelling his name outright leads to censorship on this board) used the power of the federal government to challenge the state of Oregon on assisted suicide. That was a "small government" Republican trying to take down a law legally passed by a state and he/the feds eventually lost.

If the Republicans in power truly supported "states rights," why did they challenge it to begin with?

A shcroft also cracked down on medical marijuana operations, even in areas where it was legal.

Yes, that is truly the party of "less government."

Although I doubt that's due to increased tolerance… it's probably just 'cuz they secretly dig the idea of a couple gals getting it on!

And so do gay and lesbian couples.... except they might be better at it.

I wonder how much in tax dollars these 'conservative' politicians are spending to go through the trouble of getting their marriage invalidated.

The GL may win in court and is far from being accepted by the Majority! Texas is part of the Bible Belt.

I would not waste my dollars. We will have see long term how this works out. Most of these bubble gum policies that people push thru the court are doomed to fail on its own merit.

If they have to adopt of have kids. What kind of message are those kids going to receive?

There are many things in life that I don't agree with. Abortion being one of them.
But, that is me and I do not feel it it my place to tell another individual how they should live their lives. As long as I, as an individual, am not physically harmed.
But, don't get all pissy, if I make fun of you.
