It's obvious that ISIS has bastardized their religion.

There are almost 2 billion Muslims in the world.

How many people make up the group ISIS?

I don't condemn an entire group of people for what a few do.

Try to be rational.

"It's obvious that ISIS has bastardized their religion."
On the contrary, ISIS is practicing Islam to the letter of the Quran as Mohammad did. It could be argued that they are practicing an older purer form of Islam compared to the majority of modern Muslims. Considering they are a threat to most Muslims and the west alike it's sad that they have been allowed to exist for so long.

You can say the same thing about Christians who believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible vs the majority of Christians around the world who do not.

Fundamentalist Protestants do not = Christianity, and

ISIS does not = Islam

Could, but the thread is not talking about other religions. You could start a thread on the evils of Christianity though

Now more than ever ISIS needs a jobs program. Hurry, let's send some of the millennial morons running the State Department over there to implement the jobs program.

lol, that's a cop out. The point is that a small number of adherents of any large religion, particularly ones as large and diverse in theological opinion as Islam and Christianity, can not be seen as representative of the whole.

I absolutely will WHEN fundamentalist protestants start burning people alive. But in our age, this "respect" will be given only to the violent cult of the illiterate pedophile.

That's a distinction without a difference.

If a small (nearly statistically immeasurable) number of Muslims = the whole of Islam then,

a small (but statistically much larger) number of Christians must = the whole of Christianity.
