But if you put a nightclub in the middle of the town it concerns everyone who lives in the neighbourhood.
No, it only concerns those who patronize the nightclub. If you don't like a place for any reason, be it smoke, bad service, or the lights are too bright, you aren't forced to go.

Again, and perhaps a direct answer would be nice from you, would you outlaw resturants and lounges (or anywhere that allows the consumption of alchol)???

If nobody was rich then who do we steal from? Lesson: Don't steal, the government doesn't like competition...

Hey, you stole that from Ron Paul's sign in his congressional office.

I wouldn't need to if it became government policy.
I am hopeful that in the end people do what is best for them in the long run instead of short-term goals like getting intoxicated and damaging their own body in the process (or accidentally kill innocent bystanders).

Having lotsa money comes in handy to grease the (greedy) palms of the local government, right?
Like the drug-syndicates who grease the palms of the federal government to persuade them to look the other way.

Let's try this: You, TrickyD are now the person in charge. You get to decide what laws to make.

Would you, if you were in charge, outlaw the consumption of all alchol and tobacco products?

I was responding to a post directed to a post I made previously about Big box stores/profits/etc.. When I returned, the topic was smoking.

When did the topic of being "against the rich" have go do with smoking? Shouldn't smoking regulation go to the "decline of America" thread? Or, maybe "delusional American?"

Because TrickyD goes in about 500 directions with every post. And I can't help but try to pass on some actual knowledge to the kid...

So I take partial responsibility for trying to educate the youth of the Netherlands as to what freedom is, and why our country was founded.

Envy comes from insecurity. If people are security they aren't as envious. So many people in the US are angry at "fat cats" because they see their own lot in life declining.
