It isn't working a minimum wage job that makes a person a bottom feeder that others look down on. It's working that minimum wage job for decades without making any effort whatsoever to improve yourself, then blaming the system for your situation and running to government to force people to give you more money. It's the attitude that's the problem, not the job.
Who is to say they are not making effort just effort is not always enough the world is not black and white where either you succedd if you work hard and you fail if you do not.
It has been a bit since we've had some real growth in the economy. The demand for labor will have a bit of a lag until supply catches up.

You honestly think only 1/3 of public high school graduates being 12th-grade proficient in math and reading is acceptible?
