I imagine there were plenty of folks who said "only idiots would start a war with Germany" back in 1939 too. Morons like the OP are a fact of life throughout history. The irony comes when they call others stupid. Pure comedy gold.
What a simplistic comparison, just to make the point that islam is similar to Nazism, that's the war-mongers rational !!
I agree with you on 2nd part but I still insist like Jay Bookman on the terminology, that's what get people confused, there are extremists we need to fight but don't call every Muslim a terrorist, this will help ISIS recruit more people but this also will play in the hands of the war-mongers and the Christian extremists in America and in the West in general, so terminology is as important as the fight itself !
Thanks for the reply.
I'm okay with being selective in terminology, but it looks foolish and confused when you're all over the place with it, and it looks indecisive and uncommitted when that's still the conversation months later. When you define the enemy by ruling out who it is not and then explaining to others that they should be careful too because other groups have flaws, you serve to confuse the message a look indecisive. Fine, be careful with what label you decide to use, but decide and move forward. He's certainly not helping himself with the Christian extremists when he brings up the Crusades to draw a comparison and he looked desperate to make the comparison which upsets people that would be on his side.
You're welcome for the reply. Thanks for the reasonable response.
I actually watched the clip and the headline is terribly misleading, no one is proposing a holy war...lol. Way to take it out of context. Oreily was talking holy war Islamic extremist were waging....
That article you linked OP is full of ignorance. Its almost as if the author wants to ignore that religion is the justification these extremist are using for their voilence.
Bull. The right wingers want this to be called a Holy War and are always inflaming the public towards Muslims, and not Terrorists, because to them, both are the same.
The article is a good one, and religion should not even be a part of the conversation, since ISIS has a goal , which is a land grab for a new state, and they are not practicing their religion to get it. They just happen to be called Muslims. If they where Religious, they would not be killing other Muslims, and doing what they do.
Sort of like accusing Charles Manson of being a Christian waging a Holy War because he carves a cross on his forehead before murdering people.
Well, this talking point, "The majority is silent" is just plain ignorant stupidity. Just like all the rest of the RWNJ talking points it has no basis in reality what so ever. Just about every single Islamic organization in North America has condemned these criminals in no uncertain terms. I just don't know how people get so damned stupid!!!!!!
Who is it primarily that is actively fighting these skumbags? Well DUH and DUH again, it's Islamic countries.
Now, I have no doubt at all that you WILL NOT read these links. They just don't fit your preconceived and ignorant ideas, so what the heck, ignore any evidence to the contrary.
